My name is Katerina, and I’ve always felt like an artist. I grew up in Russia, where I studied jewelry design for three years before moving to New York. I’ve been here for almost a decade now, and throughout all these years, art has remained the one thing that feels truly mine. I’ve always loved drawing, painting, and expressing myself creatively, even during times when I didn’t have much time to focus on it.

Going back to school was a way for me to reconnect with that creative part of myself and explore new fields that inspire me. I’m especially drawn to animation, character creation, photography, and video editing anything that lets me build worlds or tell stories. The idea of bringing a character to life, even in small ways, is incredibly exciting to me.

I’m still learning digital tools and sometimes struggle with them, but I believe that creativity grows from patience, curiosity, and the willingness to keep trying. Every project helps me gain more confidence.

To me, art isn’t just about technique or skill. It’s about emotion, imagination, and expressing something that words can’t always describe.
